Bethel Heights was declared Best Oregon Winery 2017 at the Robert Parker Wine Advocate Extraordinary Winery Award ceremony in New York on October 30, 2017. “Each year our review team travels the entire wine world seeking out wine greatness first-hand,” explained Robert Parker Wine Advocate Editor-in- Chief,
Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW. “The annual Extraordinary Winery Awards recognizes those wineries that we believe sit qualitatively above all others each year within the greatest wine regions of the world.”
The judging for the Extraordinary Winery Award each year takes into consideration:
The number of 96-100* point wines produced by that winery within the 12-month consideration period
The cumulative score of the 96-100* point wines produced by that winery within the 12-month consideration period
The consistency of greatness and/or improvements made by that winery over the last five years
The views of the Reviewer for that region
