'09 Pinot Noir West Block

Aromas of raspberries, rhubarb, and ceder overlaying subtle vanilla and almond notes. The palate showcases Rainier cherries, hints of vanilla and black currants over the a juicy core of acidity. The finish is long and savory, riding the acidity into delicate fine grain tanins.

The 2009 Vintage

2009 in the Willamette Valley was warm and sometimes hot during the summer, with a couple of extraordinary heat spikes. September was atypically sunny and warm. October continued dry, but cool enough to extend hang time without losing balance in the fruit. The grapes were harvested during the first three weeks of October, with great acidity and full flavor development.
