"Once...in the wilds of Afghanistan, I lost my corkscrew, and we were forced to live on nothing but food and water for days” --W.C. Fields

Dear Friends,

This year we ring in the International Pinot Noir Celebration with that most appropriate of fêtes, the feast! We invite you to join us at the peak ripeness of summer, on Thursday, July 23rd, to partake in our first ever Bethel Heights Grand Dinner. We promise to provide the three necessary elements for a spectacular evening: great food, great wine, great company.

Bethel Heights is pleased to announce our special guest winemaker, Ehren Jordan of Failla Wines in California. Ehren escapes his dull lifestyle as "Winemaker of the Year” (San Francisco Chronicle) to be a featured winemaker at IPNC this year. Failla has come to be known as a "top-notch source of high quality, European-inspired wines that combine flavor, intensity, and elegance.” (Robert M. Parker) We look forward to pouring Ehren's wines for you along with our own, and learning more about Failla, which, like Bethel Heights, is a family affair.

To provide the cuisine for the evening we are very honored to have Chef Pascal Chureau of Fenouil. Fenouil, a glamorous restaurant in the Portland's Pearl District, is known for its "concertedly French” cuisine. Under the creative vision of Chef Pascal, Fenouil has earned a reputation for being "the most elegant French restaurant Portland has had in some while” (Willamette Week).

Chef Pascal has created a menu sure to excite the palate and complement the wines. Each of the five courses will be served with a special selection of wines from Bethel Heights and Failla, and you can be sure there will be some hidden treasures from the library that come out as well. To top it off, we will be serving it up with the most spectacular view in the Willamette Valley.
